Allianz Trade names Peter Evola Commercial Director, UK & Ireland – Reinsurance News

Peter Evola has been appointed Commercial Director for Allianz Trade in the UK & Ireland, effective December 1, 2023, and subject to regulatory process.

In his new role, based in London, Evola will lead the team to drive profitable growth and offer a valuable contribution as a member of the UK and Ireland management team.

Evola has been with Allianz Trade for 12 years, and is succeeding Steve Stennett, who is leaving Allianz Trade.

He will be reporting to Chief Executive Officer, Sarah Murrow, who commented: “Peter’s understanding of the market, the needs of our brokers and clients, our business and services and solutions we offer is invaluable and make him the perfect candidate for this role.”

Through his career with the company, Evola has worked for the UK and Ireland, Northern Europe Region, and at the Group head office in Paris.

He has gained promotion to roles with increasing responsibility and scope, including Senior Commercial Underwriter, Head of Group Commercial Office, Northern Europe Regional Head of Commercial Underwriting and, most recently, as UK Head of Broker Distribution.

The news of Evola’s appointment follows Allianz Trade announcement of Tricia Koh’ new role as Commercial Director for Hong Kong, Taiwan and South Korea.

The company has also recently named Chris Markesteijn as Regional Head of Surety and Guarantees, Asia Pacific. He is replacing Christopher Shortell who is assuming the role of Surety Services Director at Allianz Trade in Americas.
