Alyssa Moreland and Isabella Mauricio led the way for Brown with 14 points each. Grace Arnolie and Ada Anamekwe each scored 13 points with Anamekwe scoring 11 of her 13 points in the first half.
Brown finished the night shooting 45.6 percent from the floor and had the best three-point shooting night of the season as the Bears hit a season-high 12 threes and shot 42.9 percent from beyond the arc. Mauricio led the way with four threes and Arnolie finished with three.
Brown also had a solid night at the free throw line with Anamekwe making seven of Brown’s 10 free throws.
Arnolie led Brown with nine rebounds, marking the second-straight game with nine boards for the sophomore. Moreland had six rebounds and Anamekwe scored five. Arnolie also led Brown with five assists, while Moreland tallied five steals.
The Bears forced eight turnovers in the first quarter as Brown jumped out to a 20-13 lead. Anamekwe led the way for Brown with eight points in the quarter, going 4-for-4 from the free throw line. Brown trailed 10-9 before a three from Mauricio and steal and layup by Anamekwe made it 14-10. Back-to-back layups by Moreland closed out the scoring for the Bears in the quarter.
Moreland continued her personal 6-0 run with a basket to start the second and later hit a three that put the Bears up 27-15. Arnolie’s three with just over six minutes left in the quarter kept Brown up 12. The Bears continued its hot shooting from deep as Jones hit a three as well. Brown took a 38-25 lead to the half after Anamekwe added two free throws.
A Jones layup and Mauricio three started the third quarter and Moreland’s layup but the Bears up 45-28. After four points from UMass Lowell, Brown went on a 14-0 run that featured threes from Mauricio, Arnolie and Young. Another three by Mauricio gave Brown 62 points as the Bears led 62-36 after three quarters.
Mady Calhoun and Grace Kirk hit early threes in the final quarter and Brown pushed the lead to 30 after four points from Arnolie. Amiya Hopkins scored the final basket for the Bears.
Brown will hit the road on Saturday to take on New Hampshire on Saturday (Dec. 9).
