WESTPHALIA — The Fatima Comets began Show-Me Conference play with a 77-37 victory Monday night against the New Bloomfield Wildcats.

Fatima jumped out to a 26-7 lead through eight minutes, then extended the lead to 44-18 at halftime. The Comets then scored 29 points in the third quarter to push the lead to 73-32 entering the fourth.

Five Comets scored in double, figures, led by Easton Haslag with 21 points. Max Stuecken was next with 13 points, Matthew Robertson scored 12 points and Levi Robinson and Sam Struemph each chipped in 10 points.

For the Wildcats, Wyatt Jordan and Andrew Fouch each finished with 10 points.

Fatima (1-1, 1-0 Show-Me) continues conference play Dec. 1 at Chamois.

New Bloomfield (0-1, 0-1 Show-Me) plays at 7 p.m. today at Calvary Lutheran.
