Dedicated fundraiser will be climbing the equivalent of Mount Everest in the gym

Date:

Aiden Miller, from Callands, is taking on the mighty challenge to raise funds for Comic Relief.

The 27-year-old, who works at Anytime Fitness on Grappenhall Road, will be taking on the Stairmaster for an 8,850-metre climb.

This will equal around 44,250 steps and is predicted to take around 10 hours.

The gym will also be holding a raffle and Aiden’s colleagues Leanne and Sophia will be providing baked goods and standing in to do some steps when Aiden has any short breaks.

Warrington Guardian:

The challenge will take place on Red Nose Day on March 17, and Anytime Fitness will be holding an open day so non-members are able to come and cheer Aiden on or take part in the raffle.

It isn’t the first time the Anytime Fitness trio have taken on a gruelling challenge to raise funds for charity.

Last January, the team completed one million steps between them to fundraise for The Lilac Centre in St Helens.

They also won a community champion award last year for their charity efforts.
