The brand’s go-to silhouette is oversized, and each item uses a generous amount of fabric which drapes and twists over the body in an elegant fashion. The dresses all tend to fall close to the ankle, while the coats sweep the floor, and even the bodysuits have extra twisted layers of jersey to add interest. “Our whole approach is longevity,” Wright previously explained to British Vogue. “The quality’s amazing, everything’s meant to last years and years, and [the pieces are] designed to be timeless.” The brand takes its sustainable credentials seriously, sourcing from recycled, organic and natural fabrics and keeping carbon footprint to a minimum.
There is a lot of thought and precision which goes into each item, making Tove a wise brand to invest in. Keep scrolling for our edit of the bodysuits, dresses and coats which we think are worthy of every bit of hype.
Tops and bodysuits
One of Tove’s signature design details is gathered and twisted fabrics, and the jersey bodysuits with a wrap-effect around the chest are quickly becoming cult items.
Dresses
The first Tove item to really capture the imagination of fashion editors and stylists was the Ceres dress – a cotton midi with delicate ties along a deep V-neck. This is still a core design for the brand, and is available in lots of colours, from sunflower yellow to navy blue. However, it also excels at body-skimming maxi dresses in jersey and silks.
Trousers and jeans
Tove excels at wardrobe foundation pieces, and so naturally is a go-to for tailored trousers and wear-with-everything jeans. The Linn jeans, in particular, are the perfect shape and are quickly becoming best-sellers.
Outerwear
At the brand’s first London Fashion Week show in February several show-goers arrived in the beautiful tailored maxi coats – Lucy Williams’ ivory textured coat is simply beautiful.
