Rugby World Cup winner Will Greenwood was among the guests as Magenta Gym held an open day to celebrate its major refurbishment.
The ground-floor gym at Maidenhead Rugby Club has been taken over by three personal trainers and kitted out with new fitness equipment including treadmills, cross-trainers and resistance machines.
On Saturday the gym opened its doors to give prospective members a chance to see the new-look venue.
Co-owner Sami Al-Zaid said: “It’s definitely made an impact and we’ve definitely shouted our name out there for people to hear.
“We’ve had our open day and people have come down and seen the gym itself and the work we’ve put in. We’ve still got to put more hard work in to get those members through the door but there’s definitely traction now.”
He added: “We know we’ve taken over the gym from the rugby club but we also want to keep that rapport with them.”
Opening hours are currently 7am to 8.30pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 12pm midday at weekends.
Membership costs £30 a month with no contract or signing or fee. Parking is also included.
